Flood And Fire Restoration
Water or fire damage in your home is inconvenient and sometimes very distressing
We have a 24 hour 7 days a week flood & fire restoration emergency service.
We attend in a minimal time frame following your call.
Unfortunately, flood and fire damage restoration is not a quick fix. We know that this can be a very stressful time for you, so at Sharps Carpet Cleaning & Restoration we have an extensive range of specialist tools and equipment to help you get your home or premises back to normal in the quickest time possible.
Water Damage
Excess water is extracted from the affected area, if required the floor covering is pulled back to enable our drying equipment to be placed in position. This equipment is required to be in place for a minimum of 4 days and could be required for up to a week or longer, depending on the extent of the water damage.
We contact you during this time to arrange a time to attend for the drying to be assessed. Once the drying process is complete, we return to relay your floor covering and treat the affected area for water staining, if required. If this process is not carried out, your floor covering will possibly become a hazard to your health and your hip pocket, as mould and bacteria will form, and the rotting process will begin. Our job is to prevent this from occurring, and this is why we take pride in our work and ensure the job is done properly.

Fire Restoration
Cleaning up after a house or structure fire is a time consuming and unpleasant job. Let us take the pressure off and take care of everything for you. Once the premises have been declared safe and secure, we take over. We wash your smoke and fire damaged walls and ceilings, clean your carpets when necessary, sort out your affected personal items and contents and clean and restore where possible.
We also correspond with your insurance company. If there is building work to be carried out, your contents are returned to our warehouse for restoration and storage. Once all repairs are complete, your contents are then returned to you, fully restored and you can get on with your everyday living.
The Flood Restoration Process
1
The first step is for one of our restoration technicians to come to your business or home and assess the water damage. We’ll take some photos of the damaged areas which will then be used to create a report for your insurance company. It’s important prior to our arrival that you switch off all mains power to the water damaged area and clear out any damaged furniture. This will enable us to get a clearer picture of the damage.
2
Our technicians will then proceed to extract as much water as possible to prepare the area for the drying process. It’s important to remove all excess water as this stops any further damage to both the property and the furniture and contents of the property.
3
Once we’ve removed as much water as possible, we’ll then begin our moisture testing process which helps us discover how wet the floors, walls and ceilings. The moisture testing process will also help us determine the type of equipment required to dry out the premises.
4
We’ll bring in and set up the drying equipment most suitable to dry off the environment in the most expedient way and time possible. If required, the floor covering is pulled back to enable our drying equipment to be placed in position. This equipment is required to be in place for a minimum of 4 days and could be required for up to a week or longer, depending on the extent of the water damage. We’ll also spray an antibacterial mixture over all the surfaces to help remove any nasty bacteria and germs.
5
During the drying period we’ll contact you to arrange a time to come around and assess the drying progress. Once the drying is complete, we’ll return to relay any floor coverings and treat the affected area for water staining.
